As the release of Apple's iPhone 15 series mobile phones approaches, more information about the iPhone 15 has been exposed.

Whistleblower Majin Bu shared a photo of a protective case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This photo shows the case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. ZikeTech noticed that there has been a noticeable change in the upper part of the left frame of the protective case, that is, the mute button of the previous iPhones.

Traditional iPhone cases are flat, narrow ovals that allow users to toggle the mute switch.

Majin Bu said that the opening design of the new mobile phone protective case is the biggest change. The opening at the mute button of the iPhone 15 Pro Max case is wider and more rounded.

According to Majin Bu, this is the "custom key" used to replace the mute key.

Previously, it was reported that Apple would replace the traditional mute key with a "custom" key.

The "custom key" will be controlled by a microprocessor, allowing users to pay with Apple Pay or locate the phone through the Find My iPhone function even when the battery is low or the battery is turned off.

If this is the case, it means that another iPhone's "ancestral" design has died.

In addition, the latest news shows that Apple has issued a stocking order for the iPhone 15, and the first wave of stocking began in July, and the supply chain has begun intensive preparations for component production.

According to the report, analysts are optimistic about the overall performance improvement of the iPhone 15, and believe that the phone will be more attractive to consumers than the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 phones.

The report quoted Barclays analysts as predicting that the iPhone 15 is expected to usher in a super cycle, with shipments expected to reach a record 89 million units during the year. ZikeTech noticed that only 78 million iPhone 14 units were shipped during the same period.

The report also said that Apple has learned the lessons of last year's supply chain disruption. In addition to Hon Hai, two new assembly plants, Pegatron and Luxshare, have also been added to participate in the preparation of the first batch of iPhone 15.

According to reports, Hon Hai has received 55% to 60% of iPhone 15 assembly orders, Luxshare has surpassed Pegatron and ranked second, accounting for about 20% to 25% of orders, and Pegatron is 15% to 20%.

According to the report, Luxshare shipped about 20 million iPhones last year and is expected to increase to 50 million this year. Analysts' average forecast data shows that Luxshare's assembly volume will reach 42 million units.
